Omni Home Comfort proudly supports Breakthrough T1D – Illinois Chapter, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Type 1 Diabetes through research, advocacy, and support.
This cause hits especially close to home for our company.
In January of 2016, Omni Home Comfort owner Aaron Wozencraft and his wife Dana welcomed their daughter, Samantha, into the world. Like many families, they had no reason to expect that their lives would soon change in ways they never imagined. After multiple trips to the doctor and missed signs due to a lack of awareness surrounding Type 1 Diabetes, Samantha went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis on March 24, 2017, at just one year old.
From that moment on, everything changed.
Today, Samantha is living her brave little life — healthy, happy, and thriving with her Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis. Her journey opened Aaron and Dana’s eyes to the realities faced by families living with T1D every day, as well as the critical need for awareness, education, and continued research.
Supporting Breakthrough T1D is Omni Home Comfort’s way of turning a deeply personal experience into meaningful action. The organization’s work helps fund research aimed at better treatments and future cures, while also providing education, resources, and community support for families navigating life with T1D right now.
